Welcome to Dutton!
New to town? Let McNeil Insurance Brokerage welcome you to Dutton, Ontario and the region of Dutton/Dunwich. We’ve been here for generations, and it’s an amazing place to live!
We’re part of the Dutton/Dunwich municipality. We are proud to say that one of our brokers, Bonnie Vowel, was the former mayor. Having been an integral part of the community, she has a unique perspective and insight into the needs of local homeowners, farmers and businesses in the Dutton/Dunwich municipality.
You’ll find many things to see and do in our community. Check out the Backus Page House Museum in Wallacetown to see how some of the first settlers lived. Constructed in 1850, the Backus Page House is one of the first brick homes built in what is now Dunwich Township. The house is also the site of an annual heritage farm show, Christmas dinners and educational events. Along with the Backus Page House, you’ll find breath-taking views of Lake Erie, flocks of birds and interpretive trails in the John E. Pearce Provincial Park.
Our community includes many active church groups and service clubs. We hold a street dance every summer, and we’re home to the West Elgin Dramatic Society (WEDS), a non-profit organization that’s been performing since 1971. Check out one of their productions in the WEDS Theatre on Currie Road.
Contact Bonnie, Elizabeth or Heather at McNeil Insurance Brokerage today, so we can help you get settled.
